Kokedama is a traditional Japanese product made for gardens and homes. It is a ball of soil, covered with thick moss, on which an ornamental plant takes root. It is a combination of the Nearai Bonsai trees, which means Bonsai without a pot, and kusamono planting styles, which uses grass or moss as the centre of attention. It’s a completely hand-made product, which takes special Japanese techniques.
