The classic among flowers, the rose should not be missing in any garden. It is best to plant them in autumn. In this way they can gather strength for the first year and the roots usually settle well before severe frost starts. In spring they sprout earlier than the freshly set plants.

Gardening on bales of straw is a new trend for hobby gardeners. The idea comes from the USA and has many advantages for growing useful plants. The plants are less affected by weeds. Moreover, there is no water nuisance in the bales because excess water can flow away directly. It also makes it possible to garden in a small space and on any surface. Another very positive effect is that the rotting of the straw provides warmth - a heating effect that is also given in early and raised beds. This allows earlier harvesting. After harvesting, the rotting bale of straw can easily be composted.

Herbs are a big success

Even in your own garden, no matter how small, carrots or kohlrabi, tomatoes and the like are often grown again. Indispensable are the herbs that have become indispensable in today's kitchen. Especially Mediterranean varieties are popular. The hit is the Capuchin cherry, a beautiful flowering plant whose leaves and flowers are edible and adorn any table.

The house in Ny Adelgade 12, Copenhagen has been the centre of Tage’s work since 1987. There he lives and works in his self-designed world. Flowers and plants are an important part of the house, and they are selected and processed to give a living and adventurous expression. Natural materials and traditional craftsmanship inspire Tage, and you can feel that throughout this building.
